Even I tried to explain how it is difficult to travel by bus in Sri Lanka, no one can understand... Of course, I am one of the keen-bus-users.
Resonable, wide spread bus route (you can really go everywhere...), etc... Everyday I am taking 138 from my rent room to the office in Colombo at just nine rupees (sometimes it will be six rupees...). I used to travel a lot by the A/C intercity bus, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya (even Adams Peak), Sinharaja, Galle, etc... Even you can go a small village by bus!
However, however, here you go. Sometimes it will be a nightmare...
